Fan moment

I love hearing from readers.
Receiving emails discussing my books or saying how much they're enjoyed never fails to bring a smile to my face.

The funny thing? I never thought of writing to my favourite authors to thank them for their brilliant books.

Adele Parks was the first author I emailed and her response was lovely.
So imagine how stoked I was when she commented on my 'glomming' post over at the PHS last week. I had a distinct fan moment!

Now her latest book is hitting the shelves and I can't wait.
Hers are keepers for me.

Who's on your keeper shelf these days?

Oh geez, first of all that keeper shelf is basically a keeper room. ;) But anyway, just a couple of names (and just ones that I can see from where I'm sitting) are Amanda Quick, Lisa Kleypas, Jacquie D'Alessandro, Sabrina Jeffries, Marianne Stillings, Victoria Alexander, Vicki Lewis Thompson. But we are talking many more. . .

As for Harlequin/Mills and Boon authors that come to mind, it's just impossible to get a whole line every month or the like, so I mostly go for authors. . . two are above, Vicki Lewis Thompson and Jacquie D'Alessandro. . . yours of course!, Kate Walker, Liz Fielding, and Cara Colter. But whenever I can, I'll pick one up that isn't a regular author (and then I add to my list! LOL) :)

There are a few authors there I haven't tried, Lois, so looking forward to taking a look.

Recently read my first Lisa Kleypas and loved it (her first contemporary)

And lucky you mentioned me ;)

I keep all the books I have autographed by Authors, too many to list. (there is a few from you)I also have all my Jane Austens, Bronte sisters, Brenda Novak, Karen Marie Moning, Josie Litton, Charlaine Harris, and Margaret Mitchell on my keeper shelf. Recently I added Liz Fielding and Savannah Russe.

That's funny because I just haven't been able to get myself to wanting Lisa Kleypas's contemporaries. LOL She was my second every romance author, and first historical. And I obviously love her historicals, have every single one, but just can't get to wanting to try the contemps. I know people have said they love them, but maybe one day. :)

And how could I have forgotten my Jane Austen books! :) And I love Amanda Grange's Austen hero diaries too. . . and I just have Jane Eyre from any Bronte sister. :)

And heck, I wouldn't hang out here if I didn't love your books (well, I could anyway since I love your blog too, but sure like the books to go along with it!) :)

Just a few, Dena? ;)

I really want to read a Brenda Novak book. Must add her name to my glom list.

I'm not a huge historical fan, Lois (though I love Anne Gracie's books, and the books by Anna Campbell I've read.)

So many books to read!

Brenda's last three romantic suspense books were so good I couldn't put them down. What was so great about them also was they came out in three consecutive months. There the first three books in her Last Stand series. You definitely should add her to you TBL.

The few that I have on my keeper shelves from you are the ones I have autographed from you. The others written by you I share with my sister and daughter.
