It's always lovely to meet people you've heard about, especially fellow writers, so it was great for me to have lunch with author Kaye Kelly last Sunday.
Kaye hails from across the ocean, in New Zealand, and has published 2 books with Random House over there. Love the sound of this one.
(And before you say anything...no, I'm not jaundiced, just the sun reflecting off the paint. And yes, my face is rounder than usual.
15kg rounder to be precise.
Courtesy of the bung foot and operation this year, I've stacked on the weight. Never been this big. Don't like it. Haven't had to diet before. Not too keen now.
Any miraculous ways to shift the kilos? Apart from the obvious like exercise & don't eat chocolate?)

I thought you both looked lovely in the photo! No need to diet IMHO. Take care. Caroline x
I second Caroline. You both look great!
Nic, honey, if you're 30lbs heavier in that pic, then you were underweight before, because you look FAB. :)
You're all lovely...but maybe in need of some glasses too? ;)
Kate, I've always had a waist and boobs, so give the illusion of hour glass. But my bottom half is a lot bigger than it used to be and I don't like it one bit!!
If you want to lose weight, but aren't keen on exercise, I suggest drinking lots of water each day, especially right before a meal, and walking at least two miles (briskly) daily.
Walking outdoors is best if you can, but a treadmill is great exercise (the problem being that it seems more like work than enjoyment--at least to me).
All of this assumes your foot is fully healed, of course. Good luck with it. :)
Finally, something I share with my favourite author, aside from a love of well crafted stories.
I’ll share my favourite recipe:
Ingredients:
A pinch of sunshine
One bicycle
One two-seater, child carrying, trailer/stroller combo. ---- http://www.gtmall.com.au/catalog/product/gallery/image/403/id/186/
One cakeless coffee outlet that is located a kg off your hips away from home.
One author in need of a bleak
One set of children in need of attention.
Method:
You choose when you need the break.
The children choose whether you pedal or push.
Variation:
Try changing coffee for feeding the ducks at the park.
Nichole thank you for pleasure your lovely writing brings ----
And the ladies above are correct. It's only a broblem if you feel it so. ----- Erin.
Magdalena, that's exactly what I've been doing.
This week, have upped my water intake to 1.5 litres a day.
Actually feeling much better for it.
Hoping to start walking next week!
Erin, thanks for your kind words, I'm so glad you enjoy my books :)
