Popular professions for romance novel heroes

Two neuroscientists have studied 15000 Harlequin novels looking for clues about social expectations.

During their studies, they came up with the top 10 professions for romance novel heroes.

Alas, I saw the list before you put it on your blog, so I do remember #1... but for the more historical sounding professions, sure was surprised Duke wasn't on it; I would think that would have been up there for the historical ones, but then I guess Prince and King outweigh it due to the Presents line.
