COVER REVEAL: Second Chance Lane

Thrilled to reveal the gorgeous cover for SECOND CHANCE LANE, releasing with Harper Collins Australia MIRA imprint, October 7th.

This is the sequel to LONG WAY HOME and I'm rapt so many readers are looking forward to this.

Here's the blurb:

From USA Today bestselling Australian author Nicola Marsh comes a compelling story of love, redemption and community.
When the past crashes into the future, there's more than hearts on the line.
Natasha Trigg leads a simple life in small-town Brockenridge. She works at the roadhouse, has good friends, and at the centre of her world is her daughter, Isla. She knows dumping musician Kody Lansdowne thirteen years ago by misleading him about her pregnancy was best in the long run. She drove him away so he could achieve his dreams but has always felt guilty. When a matchmaking Isla invites a surprise new neighbour to dinner, Tash and Kody come face to face once again...
Now a bona fide rockstar, Kody's in hiding to sort through the mess his life has become after a concert resulted in devastation. The last thing he needs is discovering he has a child. Especially as it means the one woman he's never been able to forget is now permanently part of his life. Pity he's so furious with her...
For Jane Jefferson, who has deliberately fooled townsfolk into believing her reputation is worse than it is for years, a second chance is something she thought she'd never get. Reconnecting with friendships she thought lost forces her to face the question: do past mistakes define you forever?
While navigating the troubled waters of forgiveness, friendship and love, will these three Brockenridge residents discover everyone deserves a second chance?

Release day: LONG WAY HOME

LONG WAY HOME is out now in bookstores throughout Australia & NZ, and available online for the rest of the world.

From USA Today bestselling Australian author Nicola Marsh comes a warm and winsome rural romance about second chances and belonging.

A prodigal daughter returns to Brockenridge...
Eleven years ago Ruby Aston left Brockenridge - and its small-town gossip - for the anonymity of the big city. Now, a grieving Ruby is forced to come home to the place she loathes. But it also means returning to someone she's always regretted leaving behind...
Connor Delaney is determined to prove himself and not get by on his family name alone. To do this he needs to acquire the local roadhouse. He never anticipated the owner would be the same 'bad girl' who ditched him at the high school ball and was never heard from again.
For Alisha Nathieson, the grief of suddenly losing her dear friend and employer Clara Aston has forced her to examine her choice to stay and support her ageing parents. As she battles a growing need to explore her past, temptation wars with duty. And then there are her feelings for handsome chef Harry, who has secrets of his own...
In following their hearts, will this unlikely trio lose what they've craved all along?

Guest author: Ros Baxter + free short story

A few months back I had the lovely Ros Baxter visit my blog with her new release and now she's back, with a free short story for you!

WHITE CHRISTMAS (Escape Publishing, Harlequin Australia) releases Dec 1st but you can pre-order now, FREE!

Here's what Ros has to say:

It's a whole lotta sexy, spine-tinglingly scary, and is set in a post-Apocalypse sci-fi world.

What if your only chance at survival was to seduce the man who broke your heart?

Seventeen years after the Apocalypse, Admiral-class Explorer Tabysha is caught up in a firefight and shot down over Tyver, where ice vampires hunt human warmth. Seeking shelter in an ice cave, she is instructed to stay put and await rescue. But after another ship crash-lands, and the Hunter Gatherers stalk its wounded pilot, Tabi breaks protocol.

When it turns out the survivor is the man who stole her heart then skipped out on her ten years before, it seems to Tabi that no good deed goes unpunished, and things can’t get any worse. But she’s so wrong.

As the Hunters pick up the escalating heat signature of the former lovers, Tabi has to tell Asha that there is only one way to repel the creatures stalking them.

And it involves picking up where they left off ten years before

WEEKEND BOOK CLUB: Bella's Run

It has been too long since I've read any rural-lit. I love Rachel Treasure's books but has been years since I've read one.

Then I picked up Bella's Run recently and was hooked all over again.

Here's the blurb:

Bella Vermaelon and her best friend Patty are two fun-loving country girls bonded in sisterhood no blood could ever beat. Now they are coming to the end of a road trip which has taken them from their family farms in the rugged Victorian high country to the red dust of the Queensland Outback.

For almost a year they have mustered cattle stations, cooked for weary stockmen, played hard at rodeos and danced through life like a pair of wild tumbleweeds. And with the arrival of Patty's brother Will and Bella's cousin Macca, it seems love is on the horizon too..

Then a devastating tragedy strikes, and Bella's world is changed forever.

So she runs from the only life she has ever known. But can she really turn her back on the man she loves? Or on the land that runs deep in her blood?

It's a cracking book filled with real characters and real emotion.

It's poignant, romantic and funny, seamlessly weaving rural Australia and its lifestyle into an emotional story.

I loved it!

What are you reading this weekend?

Release day: Author's Choice

Last year, the lovely folk at Mills and Boon Australia approached me to choose 2 of my favourite Harlequin Romances I'd written for re-release.

I chose A TRIP WITH THE TYCOON (because the train journey on the luxurious Palace on Wheels through Rajasthan, India, that Tam and Ethan take is a firm favourite of mine) and EXECUTIVE MOTHER-TO-BE, because Nathan is so deeply complex and Kris is a 35 year old career woman who never thought she wanted kids (and how they come together is a gradual process.)

Hope you enjoy!

New release: Girl in a Vintage Dress

If you're in Australia & NZ, GIRL IN A VINTAGE DRESS is on shelves now!

The reviews for this book have been fab so grab it for yourself and see why :)

Here's the latest review, from the lovely Julie at CATAROMANCE:

"Nicola Marsh specializes in writing classic romances with a modern twist and Girl in a Vintage Dress is the latest fun and fabulous romance by this talented USA Today best-selling author...

A fantastic tale full of sassiness and spirit, Girl in a Vintage Dress is a fast-paced contemporary sprinkled with red-hot repartee, witty one-liners, sizzling chemistry and feel-good romance.

Lola Lombard is a real and believable heroine we can all relate to and Chase is a sexy hero whose vulnerability and generous nature makes him all the more irresistible.

A wonderful summer read sure to make you smile and wipe away a tear or two, Girl in a Vintage Dress is another keeper from Nicola Marsh’s outstanding pen!"

The book will also be available at ROMANCE WRITERS OF AUSTRALIA 'From Here to Eternity' conference in 2 weeks and I'll be there to sign copies, yay!
Hope to see you at the Hilton!
