I won the National Readers' Choice Award again!

National Readers' Choice Award finalist!

Thrilled to announce that my young adult paranormal fantasy novel SCION OF THE SUN is a finalist in the NATIONAL READERS' CHOICE AWARDS YA category.

This is the competition I won last year with Marrying the Enemy, in the contemporary series section.

SCION OF THE SUN holds a special place in my heart and I'm thrilled to final in a new genre for me with the first YA book I wrote.

So, my NRCA trophy arrived in the mail recently, all the way from the USA.

It's heavy. Seriously heavy.
My editor, who attended the award ceremony, nicknamed it 'the tombstone'.

At the moment, I have it sitting almost in front of me on my desk.
Whenever those doubt demons perch on my shoulder to whisper in my ear, I glance at this award and soldier on.

After 44 books, you'd think it gets easier, right?
No.
Every single book is as hard to write as the last.
And I wouldn't have it any other way.

Tonight, this book that won the National Readers' Choice Award recently is up for a RBY award (RWAust. Romantic Book of the Year.)

Sadly, I'm not at the awards ceremony but I'm keeping everything crossed!

MARRYING THE ENEMY won!!!

I've finalled in many major awards but this is the first time I've actually won, so it's extra special for  me. I'm no longer a bridesmaid, woohoo!

Add to that, this book is my favourite Harlequin I've written so I'm doubly thrilled.
