Panic stations!

Have you missed me?

Last night was the pits!
On the phone to my Internet provider for 3 hours trying to get my emails to come through and my Internet to work.
Got hung up on once after half an hour and in the middle of reconfiguring, got told the same thing to do with the next guy, who then referred me onto my antivirus software company, then rang back and the third guy told me to do the same things but I ended up telling he'd missed a step!

It was a disaster!

Especially when your livelihood depends on the Internet and corresponding with your editor.
Bah!! Was I grumpy? A tad upset? Annoyed I'd wasted a whole evening on the phone only to have everything still not working?
You bet!

Their solution? Move me onto a higher level technician...who'd look at it in 2 working days!!!
Let's just say I was a little emotional by then and went to bed, only to fall into a dream-filled sleep where I could never access my PC ever again!!!

This morning, the cyber gods are smiling on me.
I'm back and have had a quick look at my 100 plus emails.

And posting that quick blurb I promised you days ago.

Working by day...

Abby Weiss could make her name as a stylist to the stars on a two-week photo shoot in a tropical island paradise. Even better, Judd Calloway, her best friend, will be the photographer. Nothing could be more fun than working with him...

Naughty by night!

...except spending hot, sexy, passionate nights with him! In the years since they last met Judd's become a charming, muscled, gorgeous hunk! Abby can't keep her hands off him-and the attraction's mutual.

And now Judd's got a proposal that he hopes will keep her right where he wants her: in his bed!

Will post the snippet soon!

Oh, it's good to be back... :)

Nicola the book sounds wonderful. I have to stop visiting you girls. It seems everywhere I'm going there are novels I'm just going to have to buy. Oh dear my poor TBR pile is getting bigger. After June I'm going to have to put writing on the back burner for a month so I can catch up.

Bummer about your tooth, ouch. Told ya childbirth was easier, once it's over it's done. (Well until the next little bundle of joy).

And the internet, well it's run by male internet Gods that have male moments and don't know what to do just to upset us poor women folk. Well that my theory and I'm sticking to it. Hehehe.

Have a great weekend, looking forward to your next snippet.

Hugs
Sandie

Hi Nicola your book sounds great, too bad i dont get that book line in the book stores locally, we only get the normal mordern romance (boo hoo) lol. Your internet provider seems to be a relative to my net provider. i have a mobile connection and use it on the computer when needed, but certain pages just will not load on my phone like my email, which is the most important, it only loads on the computer, their response to this " sorry miss, we sometime have technical difficulty" it so happens that this only occurs with the phone and not when i hook it up to the computer
my response is they are lucky their prices are so cheap lol.

Sorry that you were having so much problems with your Internet. I ended up changing servers because of ongoing problems with mine.

The book sounds really good, looking forward to the snippet later this week.

Have a good weekend.

Hi Nicola,

Sounds like a great book! Sad to hear about the internet problems. I'm glad it's working for you now! I always go a little nuts when I don't have net access. (I'm so very used to it). You should demand a credit to your account for when it wasn't working! (If you haven't already.) That tends to keep the companies on their toes.

This does sound like a great read. Boy does it suck to have internet problems. We don't no what we got until its gone. The internet has become such a big part of our lifes. Its just not the same without it.

It IS such a huge part of our lives. Weird how dependent we become on it...

Forgot to say this book is one of my faves!
The first book I wrote after having my first child :)
Madly, wrote it about 3 weeks.
Must've been high on the hormones and sleepless nights ;)
