New contract!
I'm thrilled to announce I've signed a contract with ENTANGLED PUBLISHING'S Brazen series.
These books are sassy and sexy and oh-so-readable.
My first, tentatively titled SLEEPING WITH THE ENEMY, will be released in October this year, with the 2nd book in the series out in Feb 2014.
Sleeping with the Enemy is one of those rare magical books that flew from my fingers in 15 days. Revisions are about to land any day now and I can't wait to tighten and polish this story.
And I can't wait for you all to read it!

Six Sentence Sunday: NOT THE MARRYING KIND
This week's snippet from NOT THE MARRYING KIND follows Beck and Poppy's wedding reception.
Poppy needs some space, Beck follows her along the Vegas Strip.
He's asking the hard questions she doesn't want to answer, namely how 'real' she wants this fake marriage to be.
“I hate you,” she muttered, indecision pinching
the corners of her lush mouth. “But I have to give you
points for being up front about what you want.”
“What do you want?”
She hesitated an eternity, gnawing on her bottom lip, before her challenging gaze met his.
“You.”

The Readiacs
Another copy of NOT THE MARRYING KIND is up for grabs today over at THE READIACS where they posted this fab review:
If you love romantic comedies, like I do, you’ll want to scoop this one up ASAP!
Poppy is a female lead who I can get behind. Sassy, sexy and gives it to Beck as good as she gets it. Neither is looking for marriage or even love, which makes the novel that much more endearing. Her job as a divorce planner doesn’t exactly give the impression of a girl looking for her Prince Charming and her Happily Ever After….
Until billionaire Beck waltzes into her life and sparks fly, and kaboom, their witty banter, off the charts chemistry and romantic situations leads where neither of them wanted. Love.
All in all this was a delightful romance that keeps you laughing out loud and satisfied through the end.
Thanks Nina!

Six Sentence Sunday: Not the Marrying Kind
This week's Six Sunday snippet follows Poppy and Beck's wedding ceremony in NOT THE MARRYING KIND.
They've arrived at his desert home in Red Rock Canyon and have been flirting madly.
“What’s the next tradition?”
“The wedding night.” His hands spanned her waist and lifted her slightly so she came in contact with evidence of how excited he was to consummate this marriage.
“But it’s still morning.”
His lips grazed her ear. “Good. Gives me a chance to see you better when I...”
And yeah, it gets hotter from there!

Weekend Book Club: A Night of Southern Comfort
There has been so much buzz surrounding Entangled Publishing's Indulgence series category romances that I've been dying to read them.
But I've been too busy with deadlines and launching my own EP Indulgence to have time.
This week I finally cranked up my kindle and read one of the many books waiting for me, A NIGHT OF SOUTHERN COMFORT...and WOW!
The calibre of this book is amazing...I can't wait to gobble up the other Indulgence novels!
Here's the blurb:
One night of passion...
Detective Jackson Cantrell never imagined that one night with an irresistible stranger would turn his life upside down. He’s spent years living in the shadows, but Dr. Michaela Roarke awakened a passion inside him he'd buried years ago.
He never expected the woman would turn out to be the governor's daughter...and his next assignment. The governor blackmails Jackson to secretly watch over Michaela and protect her from a stalker, or kiss his dream job at the FBI good-bye. Swearing to keep things strictly professional, Jackson moves in with Michaela. Too bad his heart can't keep the same promise.
But when the stalker's attacks quickly escalate beyond mere photographs to bodily harm, Jackson must race to save Michaela's life. And he’ll have to figure out how to keep her once she discovers his lie.
I never gush about a book unless I really, really love it.
And boy, did I love this book!
I'm staggered that it's Robin Covington's debut novel...talking about setting the bar high!
In Kayla and Jack she has created two wonderful characters, well-matched in their independence and hidden vulnerabilities.
And the sexual tension between them? Sizzles off every page.
With wickedly hot sex and sparkling dialogue, this book was a winner.
I hated putting it down and can't wait for the follow ups with Teague, Lucky and Beck's stories.
More please!

Six Sentence Sunday: NOT THE MARRYING KIND
Last Sunday I introduced you to Poppy Collins, the divorce party planning heroine in my new release, NOT THE MARRYING KIND ($2.99, Entangled Publishing's Indulgence series.)
In this snippet, she's discussing heading to Vegas to meet her first client, bad boy Beck Blackwood, with her BFF and assistant Ashlee.
“And here’s another tip. When in Vegas, always
bet on black.”
“I’m not gambling—”
“Black silk, satin, lace, whatever. LBD, push-up bra, stockings, you’ll have him throwing the big bucks at you.”
“Dressed like that, it won’t be for my party planning skills,” Poppy muttered, earning a grin from Ashlee.

New book trailer!
I'm thrilled to reveal the book trailer for NOT THE MARRYING KIND
I absolutely love it!
Exactly how I pictured Poppy and Beck.

Six Sentence Sunday: NOT THE MARRYING KIND
My first Six Sentence Sunday in a while courtesy of life intruding but I'm excited to be back!
With NOT THE MARRING KIND releasing this week, I thought it fitting to introduce you to Poppy, the party planning heroine who's snarky and sassy and downright fun.
Here, she's chatting with her BFF and assistant Ashlee about launching Divorce Diva Daily, a blog promoting her divorce party idea that will save her sister's party planning business.
Ashlee isn't convinced.
“Hey, I’m mature.”
Ashlee raised an imperious eyebrow and pointed at her desk. “You’re saving a printed RPatz autographed Twilight flyer, your Gryffindor Forever stick-on tattoos are plastered everywhere, and you’ve been clubbing three times this week.”
“I like to bust a move.”
“And the rest?”
“Can never have enough sparkly vamps or Harry Potter around.”

I've sold to a 4th publisher!
In late March, I had a surreal week.
Within 5 days, I had offers from 3 different publishers for 3 different books.
After negotiations, I'm thrilled to announce I've sold a category length contemporary romance to CRIMSON ROMANCE (the new romance division of Adams Media, a long-standing publisher of non-fiction titles including Writers Digest books.)
The tentative title is FALLING FOR FLYNN and it's a returned soldier/reunion romance set in my fabulous home city Melbourne.
Release date to be confirmed (but will be within the next 6 months.)
Stay tuned to hear loads more about this story!
And if you're a writer, Crimson Romance are actively acquiring manuscripts (I'm thrilled I encouraged a friend of mine to submit and she has been contracted too!)
They're after talented authors with fresh voices and engaging stories: smart, heartwarming romances for the sophisticated reader.
So what are you waiting for?

WEEKEND BOOK CLUB: Rules of Negotiation
Last month, Entangled Publishing launched its new category romance series under the Indulgence imprint to massive success.
Inara Scott, a YA author for Disney and a lovely fellow EP author, was one of the launch authors with RULES OF NEGOTIATION.
Here's the blurb:
He let her make the rules…
NYC’s most eligible bachelor, Brit Bencher, is also known as The Slayer for his reputation in the boardroom…and the bedroom. And he’ll do anything to take care of his family, even seduce high-powered corporate attorney Tori Anderson in the hopes of getting her to reveal confidential information about one of her clients. But for the first time in his life, he finds he’s falling for a woman.
…and then he started to break them.
After juggling the demands of her career and the stress of caring for her ailing mother, Tori Anderson doesn’t have time for relationships—but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t want to feel like a woman. When Brit offers a no-strings attached fling, it sounds like exactly what she needs. But what will she do when Brit decides he won’t take “one night stand” for an answer? When Tori uncovers his lies, will he lose his chance with her forever?
If I had to use a few words to sum up Inara Scott's debut category romance, they would be 'category romance with substance.'
Inara pens a gorgeous, sexy hero in Brit, a hero with flaws who isn't afraid to admit them when it counts.
And the heroine Tori is a feisty, upfront heroine who I loved for her forthrightness, her confidence in her work and her vulnerability in her personal life.
Together, these two strong willed characters equal fireworks!
I laughed out loud at several one liners in this book, one of my favourites an example of Tori's forthrightness: she's mad at Brit, he asks if she's upset for a particular reason, her response:
"No, I'm upset because you're an asshole."
I love an honest heroine and Tori is all that and more.
A highly enjoyable read.
